Based in Brighton, I specialise in typography, illustration, publications and creating brand identities for a variety of different clients.
I will often create a full identity, which includes brand guidelines on colour, typography, type hierarchy and layout.
It is my aim to provide clients with clear visual communication presented in a beautiful way.
Much of my personal work incorporates the idea of both storytelling and participation.
Before working in design I worked for ten years as an arts producer for Artangel.
This provided me with the experience of working to tight deadlines, managing complex projects and finding creative solutions.
I am currently looking for new clients, so please do get in touch if you wish to discuss a project.
Projects
- Nature dressesDue to the Global pandemic, I have spent much more time outside this year and I think it is fair to say, that I have rediscovered the healing qualities of being in nature. How it can soothe and restore me when I am feeling overwhelmed by what is happening in the world. So, the idea of the Nature Dress came to me during one of my walks. The idea being that when being outside isn’t possible, we can look at this, or put it on and feel as though we are back in nature. Standing on that path and wond
- Pestle - Brand identity and illustrationPestle - Packaging illustration, design and brand design. I created a hand drawn illustration of a pestle and mortar and a selection of spices for a new product launch this year. The colour palette is inspired by the warm, earthy and vibrant hues of Turmeric, Ginger and Chillies. The font is simple and elegant, to reflect the simplicity and elegance of each of the dishes. Pestle create fresh curry pastes to add to your choice of fresh ingredients, in celebration of the British Curry.
- Philosopher's writing hutsA new series of watercolour duotone illustrations. The idea for illustrating Philosopher’s and writer’s huts came after some time spent in lockdown, and thinking about how creatives have self isolated over time, often within nature, to spend time contemplating life and their own lives. Many times writing down their thoughts and observations, so that they might share them with us, so we might all have a sense of what it can be like to be alone with our thoughts, and expansive in our thinking.

The Whitworth commissioned me to create a series of illustrations for their children's publication: Welly Walks. I was then asked to create a map of their gardens, incorporating the sculptures that are displayed within the gardens.
