As a little introduction, my name is Melissa Cofie, a 25 year old Film Grad, London based Freelance Videographer and aspiring Director/DOP with 5+ years experience in shooting, editing and directing low budget Music Videos and short films etc. I currently work in Advertising with Production Company Girl & Bear under VCCP as Production Assistant handling Commercial projects for clients like O2, Nationwide, Dominos and Walkers and more. My goals lean towards a future more established in Directing in TV.
Reflecting on my journey and career highlights so far, my love for visual content creation inspired me to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Film Production at The University of West London, after completing a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at University of The Arts: Central Saint Martins in 2017.
Recently given the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and work alongside Photographer James Anthony for GQ Magazine South Africa. Additionally I’ve worked with independent fashion labels, musicians and platforms like Nike, Parklife festival and have just completed my first Feature Film as Director Of Photography titled 'The Good Wife' to be released later in 2022.
