I have over three years experience in music publicity, both (UK) national print and online (global). Whilst at an independent agency, I gained my own business, pitching and winning clients for myself. I have worked across a variety of genres with artists at different stages of their career from development artists to cult and household names: - I have provided assistance to national PR campaigns for the likes of Gotye, Keane and M83 and the UK Music Video Awards - My press and online campaign for Palace was instrumental to their signing to Fiction Records here in the UK - My online campaign for The Brian Jonestown Massacre (single, album and tour) in 2014 sparked revival and interest in the cult band. It featured on Highsnobiety and the Guardian's Blog Jam series. July 2014 saw our first IRL event in London. I have also curated for web audio-visual music channel Juice VCR, which aims to support independent artists and filmmakers and brings back the old school discovery aspect of MTV. My interests are in communications, innovation, marketing, events and pop and DIY culture (fashion, music and film). After taking a career break, which included spending time in New York City, I am looking to get back into work. I'm currently a tw:in Insider for Trendwatching.com and am taking MOOC courses on Future Learn on branding, social media anthropology and digital marketing. ➢ Learnt the basics of music PR: drafting press releases, collated and circulated coverage, updated contacts database, serviced music, attended shows and fielded incoming media and photo pass requests, as well as general office support with supplies and booking travel and accommodation, etc.
Three month internship assisting the marketing, PR and events team at Dazed Group, which includes Dazed, AnOther, AnOther Man and Dazed Digital, as well as assisting on NOWNESS projects. Projects included Dazed’s 20th anniversary (cover art project at Collette, book and exhibition launch at Somerset House, anniversary party at W Hotel), the filming of Dazed TV’s ‘The Party,’ the annual Converse Emerging Artists’ Award and regional parties organised in association with River Island Tasks included: Guest list management, front of house, artist liaison, press outreach, collation of pre and post event publicity, general administrative duties
