For my final year in University I interned at a small dance school in Mayfair to contribute to my degree. The work experience lasted for four weeks where I assisted the marketing manager in producing digital content for the company's website. One of my main projects was to create and send e-mail marketing campaigns to their members. I experienced how a small business use accessible marketing tools such as MailChimp and social media to promote what the business offers and their upcoming events.
Before starting University I had the opportunity to work for a marketing agency to gain insight into the marketing industry. As an intern I was given the task of tele-marketing BIMA's annual awards, by telephoning members of the agency to promote the event and the competition. I was given adhoc tasks such as updating the company's database by correcting contact details and employee information.
