About me
I am Meylin Bayryamali, 23 years old, digital designer interested in digital innovation. I am looking for my next challenge, shifting my career in more mobile and less desktop design. My dream agency would be applying design thinking in their core process, always offer great user experience to their clients and aim to bring innovation to the market. For the last 2 years I have worked in a creative digital agency. It has been an invaluable experience but I believe the time is right to develop myself further and move on to a new, exciting challenge. My current role is digital designer, where I am involved from start to finish in the processes of delivering the final product to the client. I always design with responsive and functionality (both back-end and front-end) mindset. I have basic coding skills, which helps me approach the design problem from every perspective. During the past two years in the company I have learned to multitask, prioritize, meet client expectations and work on tight deadlines. I have worked closely with team of developers, strategy and account managers. I like to be part of the whole process and make sure developers keep consistency with the design style throughout every step of the user journey. Recently, I have started reading more about lean, agile, design thinking and sprints, I am really keen in following and understanding the process. I am particularly interested in following the IDEO Human-centered design process and combining it with other existing processes to fit best the project. Outside of work I am trying to improve my UX research skills, working on personal projects and challenges, as my current role is focused on e-commerce projects. I am trying to shift my career into product design, as I am really interested in branding or what makes a product great. I usually start my process working on paper prototyping and sticky notes, but I am really keen to move onto a whiteboard. I have also started experimenting with Lottie which is a great open source application used with After effects for creating user interactions and exporting them in Javascript. I am looking for a company that will challenge my skills everyday and is open to suggestions for improving existing processes. I am also looking to learn from other members and work together to create a better product. I prefer to work in an environment that is open to testing new methods and tools and evolves with the trends and markets, but doesn't always necessarily follows them. I think your company can be a good fit for me, to achieve my objectives. If you find I fit your objectives as well, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Media Arts Final Project
Media Arts Final Project Strategy, Design, Photography The brief: For our degree show my course (32 people) had to work as a team to create brand identity and all the necessary materials for ad campaigns. I was the product manager of the digital team and our task was to create a website to represent the works of each one of us.  The response: The final works of each student were categorized into one of the three sections represented via colour,  which gave me grounds to help visualise the individual and his work.Me and my friend from university collaborated on an experimental project working with Processing and kinect camera. We took portraits of each colleague using Kinect Depth Image to create a distance threshold. It turned out to be a real challenge as it was really hard to calculate the right distance so that we have the most detail in our project. I think the final result was satisfying as it was different to all the degree showcases before us.
  • Animation Projects
Animation ProjectsAnimation have always been a passion for me. I discovered animation in my final year of university and decided to take the challenge, learn how to bring my designs to motion, thus created my final projects. I have worked on After effects, Flash and Cinema 4. In my work I aimed to created everything from scratch to practice my skills, I learned the basics of motion graphics, 3d modelling and 2d&3d animation. It is real fun to switch between Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. I find I have improved my skills not only in animation but I have also learned how to prepare files for animators. (Which I do in my current role). This is my selected work from final year at University. I took the challenge to produce pieces in motion graphics, video, 3d animation and modeling to improve my technical knowledge working with Adobe After effects and Cinema 4d and to have a better understanding of motion and 3 design. I find that I apply that knowledge working on responsive websites as well as HTML5 Banners and recently started using it with Lottie for creating user interaction on mobile.

Education
    Erasmus Exchange in Media Communications
     - Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Erasmus course in Amsterdam was slightly different from what I used to study in Plymouth. I chose media and communications as I wanted to know more about the digital sector, so that I can place myself better in my future work position. I feel more confident having the basic knowledge of what everyones role is and understanding the design expectations from the marketing point of view.
