For the past ten months I have been assisting menswear stylist Simon Foxton. My role is diverse and responds to the requirements of each fashion shoot. I help to style and dress models, steam and organize all clothing. I also contact PR companies to pull in clothing for editorial shoots, taking on the responsibility for their care for the duration of the project. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
I have been assisting the fashion director of L’officiel Hommes Italia on all London based shoots since last summer. My roles include, liaising with London pr agencies, picking up and returning all samples, assisting on set, dressing the models, steaming and preparing clothes, and general tasks to help with the smooth running of each shoot.
In the wholesale department I worked closely within in a small team assisting all aspects of the sales and brand development. Daily, I would merchandise the showroom to be presentable for meetings with buyers. I organized and packed all garments and equipment for trade shows in Paris, Florence, Berlin and New York. I also sat in on selling appointments with senior sales executives, understanding the importance of the relationship with the client.
As a member of a dynamic and growing marketing team I assisted the running of various projects, product launches, in-store displays and events such as London Collections Men. I organized the movement of hundreds of new season samples to Ibiza for their marketing campaign shoot in Ibiza.
