I am a middleweight well-rounded multi-disciplined designer who is looking to produce and invent thoughtful designs. If you're looking for a digital designer who loves to collaborate with developers, cross skill and is exceptionally fast at learning, I'm the right person for you. If you are looking for creative handyman who is able to produce anything that is in graphic design to join your team, I'm also the right person for you. I have worked both in-house and agency, collating great collection of fast pace and discipline to self-directed work experiences. My idea of excellent design is something that is effective at communicating a cross any platform to empower and delight users . I'm interested in how design fits in with each industry, pushing for better collaboration between different specialities. I am currently immersed in constructing digital products for within the pharmaceutical industry at Huntsworth Health’s nitrogen. Designing for those who are suffering from sickness and old age is no easy task, but knowing my efforts will be helping those in need at their most vulnerable is an interesting thought which brings comfort and confidence to keep designing. My involvement includes crafting the userflow for promotional and educational websites and also iDetails on tablets to guide the sales of pharmaceutical products. Other projects include the creation and refining brands for products and campaigns. The mission was to champion the small businesses of Great Britain and to create the best award-winning accounting software platform to save small businesses time. Initially recruited to help with crafting the brand to help with the visual look at feel of the marketing side, as I progressed up the company, I found myself engrossed with software and application design. A year after joining Clear Books, I was promoted by management election to become the team leader at the company to lead the design team for visual direction and communication. Responsibilities involve project management, brand direction, and also leading our team of front-end developers and designers. The highlight of this job was collaborating within the pool of talented multidisciplined team members where we grew to embrace more so Agile and Lean methodologies within the company. From UX design, marketing, to integrating with back end development, I pushed for the team to cross-skill to create a better product. This team were incredibly passionate and we encouraged each other to learn, attended events and push our skills to it's full potential.
LBD (Leahy Brand Design) specialises in branding and packaging for FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods). Together, we designed packaging for products spanning from wireless chargers, luxury chocolates, to styling an entire range of ready-to-eat lunch foods. It was an amazing experience, and even today I can see my designs floating around at the supermarket and airports around the world.
At Central Saint Martins, the course taught us how graphic communication design is the art of generating and diffusing visual culture. As a means of recording, informing, promoting and persuading, graphic communication design is responsible for shaping the ways people see and act in the world. This course aimed to develop technical and conceptual skills and situate our practice socially and ethically, so that you emerge with strong technical skills, creative abilities and an understanding of the power of design to influence and shape human behaviour.
