About me
Michelle Morgan is Co-Founder of 6 businesses including Livity, a youth-led creative network bringing brands and young people together, for the better. Michelle navigated school ok, but didn't really know why she was there, she failed most of her exams, went to college, got chucked out of college and after a few 'wilderness years' talked her way into a Hong Kong Ad agency.
In 2001 she co-founded Livity as an experiment to see whether there was space in Agency Land for a socially responsible youth marketing agency. A business that placed equal importance on profit & purpose. Michelle's story is built mostly on fails, overcoming shyness, anxiety & lack of self-belief as well as the more cheery foundations of fun, faith & friendship. She talks about building a £multi-million business, her confidence & self-belief; the struggles and joys of balancing purpose and profit; why championing diversity & putting young people at the heart of everything is smart and inspiring and why creating your own trophy cabinet & team of cheerleaders is critical to giving Imposter Syndrome the boot.
16 years into the business she co-founded, she's tackling perhaps the greatest leadership challenge of all, handing over the day to day to a new leadership team. Still very much a part of Livity, she's moving into a non-executive role that will free up her time to support a much needed & different rhythm to life. As she stared her own ‘What Next?’ in the eye with a mixture of elation & fear Pjoys emerged. Once a social entrepreneur… “Michelle’s openness and her natural ability as a storyteller make her a standout speaker. As the co-founder of a successful and innovative creative business, her professional story alone is one worth hearing. But her authentic, witty, unpretentious and quietly inspirational style is as powerful as it is calm. Mark St Andrew, Festival Director for Cannes Lions.

- Violently, physically, mentally burnt out'I violently, physically and mentally burnt out' Physical and mental exhaustion is something that most people in the start-up world can relate to. For ad agency boss Michelle Morgan, it led to a violent burnout and her taking 18 months off work to recover. But what happens to a company when the boss burns out? Find our here.
