  • Redefining Normal Blog Project
Redefining Normal Blog ProjectThe theme of SHIFT Business Festival in 2018 was redefining normal - meaning that future is coming whether we want or not and some of the "too scifi", "wtf" and "that's not normal" things we face are forcing us to redefine normal in many ways. Not just from our habitual point of view but rapid technological development has taken us on a trip that forces us answer to the fundamental questions about "what is it to be a human?". The blog collection below is the elaboration from 2018 event speakers
  • Curious Girl
Curious GirlNormal is the most mysterious thing there is and mundane can be pure magic. Curious Girl is a blog under continuous development. It's my creative playground for the stories I tell, pictures I sketch and photos I take. Everything made from scratch by me.

(Note: This was a volunteer position I took upon to develop myself as a leader) I was the project manager for event prints which required the ability to communicate and lead the designers, prioritize and manage the budget. Also, I took upon the screen materials on me to proof and coordinate to the end. On the side, I was taking care of the stakeholders, marketing support for the sales team, and writing content for the website, newsletters, press releases, blogs and podcasts. I demonstrated strong leadership skills as being the second person in charge for the event marketing. All of our team members were volunteers requiring the inspirational, guiding and supporting to keep them onboard.

I majored in European Ethnology (similar to Cultural Anthropology) which focuses on everyday mundane-looking things, experiences and aims always to increase the understanding. I have noticed that this is a very useful skillset when abstract thinking is needed and the ability to connect the aims to the cultural framework, create an impact or manage people. I minored in East Asian Studies (emphasis on Business and politics), archaeology, maritime archaeology, and psychology. The name of my thesis "City under the City" was about the experience world of the tunnels of Guangzhou, China. I found it interesting because the data for my BA suggested that exchange students didn't really note the existence of the tunnel networks in the city. This brought me to the question "why they didn't" even though it was impossible to get around in the city without going underground. I concluded that the significance of experiencing underground areas meaningful was closely related to the way people sensed the world and what were they looking for in the city. Tunnels had multiple functions in their mind and it was far from simple answer.
