Part-time Evening Course focusing on the principles of Compositing for Visual Effects. This course includes the in depth teaching of the fundamentals of VFX, such as Rotoscoping, rig removal, paint prep techniques, color balance, mastering 2D/planar tracking and how to create detailed keys of a shot mainly working inside Nuke.
This short course offers an introduction to filmmaking and making our own film on Super 16mm format. It offers students a broad and invaluable grounding in the basic filmmaking principles. Over four weeks we will learn a range of industry relevant skills from working film and TV professionals and get the opportunity to take a project from concept to script to screen.
The course focuses on the creative use of computer graphics and animation technology, it combines elements of traditional art disciplines, such as life drawing and cinematography while also being combined with elements taken from the computing and engineering disciplines, such as programming and applied maths. We divide our time equally among computing and moving image studies.
