For over ten years, I have been working as a Designer, focused in project development and management, product development and media content development. I have had the chance to deal with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds, that gave me great flexibility and awareness, and has enabled developing my skills and expertise in Communication and Multimedia, providing content for various media to Project Managers, Marketeers and Companies. Working as a Freelance Designer, i’m responsible for various design services: Communication and Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Interface Design, Equipment Design, Fashion Design and Design of Environments.

Working as a freelance designer gave experience in different areas, such as, design, graphic design, illustration, branding, art direction, interior design, furniture design, landscape and urban design, fashion design. Work along with other professionals I have had project management and research and information analysis experiences. The main objective of the Master's in Multimedia Communication is to reinforce the training of professionals in this area, specifically in the production of multimedia and communication tools and in the creation of digital, audiovisual materials.
In order to achieve this objective, the study programme is organised into two specific pathways: (i) using technology to develop multimedia communication solutions in a variety of different contexts - Interactive Multimedia Pathway; and (ii) producing audiovisual materials and adapting them into new ways of content transmission, specifically digital transmission media, like mobile phones or the Internet - Digital Audiovisual Pathway.
The Interactive Multimedia pathway aims to provide the opportunity for graduates in the area of Communication Sciences and Technologies (for example, Aveiro University's NTC - New Technologies of Communications graduates) to continue their studies, strengthening their competences in the application of multimedia in a variety of different domains (educational, organisational, artistic and entertainment). At the same time, by offering a broad field of training within the field of multimedia and its various applications, this pathway will attract professionals from other areas who want to consolidate or extend their knowledge in an area other than the one in which they gained their first degree.
The Audiovisual Digital Pathway is a response to the recent developments in the audiovisual field, specifically to the growing proliferation of new means of diffusion of audiovisual signal. Examples of this are mobile phones, television solutions / videocasts or others through the Internet, as well as the new interactive ways of using these contents.
DISSERTATION/PROJECT
The research project (2nd year) in the MCMM may be conducted in several modalities:
Regular dissertation;
Research project developed in a research unit in UA or in another Portuguese university;
Research project developed in an industry context (with an offer of a set of projects in collaboration with companies/corporations);
Research project developed in mobility (with an offer of a set of projects to be conducted abroad in international universities).
