Marketing Assistant in the book publishing industry, working on a wide range of literary and commercial fiction and non-fiction titles.
Key responsibilities include: Planning and implementing marketing campaigns – including management, forecasting and reporting of budgets, audio and visual content creation, advertising, seeding and social media integration Analytics expert – analysing online activity and content including newsletters, setting and managing KPIs, SEO for websites, identifying key factors for growth, retention and subscriber lapses Managing book proof and sampler design and production – liaising with marketing, editorial and production departments as well as printers, attending production meetings and managing proof production schedule Briefing and maintaining websites – including managing website relaunches Analysing campaign effectiveness – using statistics, market knowledge, digital tools and sales results?? to idenify learnings for future campaigns Writing copy and designing advertising creative, proofs, POS, catalogues and sales slides Co-ordinating promotions with online communities such as the Reading Agency, Goodreads, Historytellers – including pitching, producing publisher content and creative programmes Managing NetGalley account – converting, uploading and managing titles on system, produce a division-wide bi-weekly report Liaising with trade press and booksellers – creating bi-annual catalogues, Amazon asset production and circulating monthly submissions Organising and minuting divisional meetings – including creating presentations for a division-wide monthly launch meeting Manage work experience placements
Working on a group-wide video project Providing general assitance to the marketing department
Assisting both Marketing and Publicity departments with campaigns and events.
