About me

I started working in advertising over twenty years ago. I’ve worked in some of the UK’s leading and most successful creative agencies. On some of the world’s leading brands. I’ve conceptualised and created advertising in every media imaginable from Digital to Television, Direct Mail, Radio, Events, Promotions to Experiential and more. I’m a rare breed: having substantial knowledge of integrating multiple media executions under one ‘big idea’ and big insight. Backed up by real world experience. Having decided against the offer of building an agency in Singapore in the late 90s, I stayed in the UK and over the years worked on a vast range of brands across multiple market sectors. From Nintendo, Coca- Cola, Halifax, Vauxhall cars, Bandai, English Heritage, Smirnoff, The AA, Vodafone, SKY TV and eBay. Creating, writing and creatively directing fully integrated marketing campaigns across all market sectors and launching new brands to market. In 2007 I joined Golley Slater as Creative Director, running the London and Cambridge departments. My ability to build rapport with potential clients and get the best from teams saw me promoted to Executive Creative Director of the London office and beyond within 3 months; overseeing projects from 11 Golley Group offices and multiple creative departments throughout the UK. Before joining Golley Slater I worked with a number of London’s top creative agencies including Tequila, the RSCG network and Delaney Lund Knox Warren. I took a break in 2006 to create the strategy and creatively oversee the launch of a new mobile youth product, which was later sold overseas. In 2012 I created Good Vibrations Agency, my freelance entity. Good Vibrations Agency helps small to medium businesses activate in a digital environment. I action various projects and tactics for clients including strategy, digital, websites, social media, packaging, training, consultancy, SEO and PPC. I'm a creative mentor to the advertising charity The Ideas Foundation and I'm on The Board Of Governors and Steering Committee for the Government-backed Ideas College Digital Media Alternative Provision Free School. My role is to ensure the curriculum is relevant to the commercial and creative realities of today's marketing industry. I am also a marketing mentor for Wayra UK, advising entrepreneurial startups on marketing their business and products. I’ve seen many changes in advertising and I've seen new medias emerge and evolve. I’ve been a part of utilising these medias to get customers to notice brands and purchase. I play guitar and have a keen interest in film and music. I'm inspired by seeing the creativity in even the smallest things.
