About me
I’m a Swiss graphic designer and art director living in Chicago. I’m into type, arrows, exploring new things, and design that challenges the status quo. I like the small details and the big picture, structured information and playful concepts, the feel (& smell) of paper and the possibilities of the digital. Outside of design I’m a food enthusiast (but picky eater), cat lover, awkward dancer and believer in no such thing as too many books. I love typography, InDesign, Illustrator, letterpress, silkscreen printing, the smell of paper, travelling, reading books, thai curry, cats, Doctor Who, getting inspired and new experiences. I am currently learning Python and AfterEffects.
Projects
  • The New Graphic 1958 – 65
The New Graphic 1958 – 65The New Graphic is a special issue of the magazine artcollector and consists of Richard Hollis’s article about the magazine Neue Grafik. The most characteristic quotes zigzag their way through the text body to emphasize the constructiveness of the design discussed in the article. They are repeated on the back cover in summary. The format of this issue is a square, mirroring the original magazine. December 2 – January 16, 2014 / Instructor: Rudolf Barmettler
  • Underground
UndergroundThis is an infographic atlas of underground spaces in Zurich. It visualizes the invisible part of the city, letting the user experience areas they can’t explore in real life. The design visualizes the deepness and the rough texture of the underground trough gradient and color. It plays with the element of the unknown to which we added a layer of information about the different stages of the places. Novemebr 15 – December 22, 2016 / Team partner: Mira Elmer, Vera Kobler, Yoelle Reinle / Instructor: Cybu Richli
Projects credited in
  • The Voice Lab
The Voice Lab2015 | ZHdK | Interior Design Randomly chosen items was the basis of this project; In our case specifically, these were tools that imitated animal calls. According to regulations, we were to design a museum in which these tools were to be showcased. Our target audience was a school class; therefore, we decided to create a museum based on interactions between visitors and the room. With an app, guests can embark on a scavenger hunt through the museum and, at the end, enter a small voice lab in which they must solve a final task. By clever design, we discovered an entertaining solution to encourage children to visit museums and enjoy learning new things.  Software used: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator In corporation with Miriam Brack.
