About me
Having completed my degree in International Relations from Durham University, achieving a 2:1 classification, I have gained a deeper appreciation of the role that media, inter-personal relationships, and journalism via creative information dissemination and communication play in the organisation of my own life and the lives of others, whether this be via social platforms, online publications, group forums, and so on. I am seeking an opportunity to further elevate my understanding and skills surrounding such areas, to formalise my interests, and to gain professional experience that would not only aid my own development, but also add to the functioning of the organisation. ... I have established my own online magazine, Wall of Sound Magazine, collaborating with students across the United Kingdom to publish live reviews, album reviews, music commentaries, interviews, and organise event nights at various venues such as Antwerp Mansion in Manchester, Musiquarium in Leeds, and Wiff Waff in Durham. Our work has been published on more established publications such as Spiked!, The Playground, and The Moshville Times. I regularly contributed music and poetry to the Thorn art collective which is present in Durham University, and have performed live at various venues in both Manchester and Durham. During my time at university I additionally co-presented a radio show on the use of sampling in the genre of hip-hop. I am fond of theatre, working on both the performance and backstage aspects of the field throughout my time at school and university, working and performing in venues such as The Lowry, Bridgewater Hall, and at the Edinburgh Fringe. I have also acted in several student film projects.

I sourced, organised and scheduled content for Far Out Magazine's two Instagram channels (currently almost 18,000 followers) and two Facebook pages (currently over 127,000 likes) - this involved searching for relevant artworks, photographs, TV segments, and film clips. I also took on a minor graphical design role in designing the magazine's Instagram and Facebook story features, updating them three times a week. This role has since led to the magazine allowing me to aid in their creation of a photography interview series, ‘In Focus’, and I have begun to contribute music-based articles also.
