A strong communicator and strategist with international experience in marketing communications and advertising, I've consistently developed meaningful, high quality content to strengthen diverse brands and businesses. Being part of an energetic, dynamic team culture is important to me. I thrive in companies that encourage lifelong learning, collaborative teamwork, and a "go for it"? creative spirit, and I seek projects and partnerships that aim to look beyond how things are to explore greater possibilities. It's been a good year. I've recently completed a master's in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where I focused on interpersonal mediated communication, surveillance studies, digital culture, audiences, and social media. For my dissertation, I integrated theories of trust, risk, and online peer-to-peer surveillance with original empirical research to explore how people negotiate interpersonal uncertainty in social media messaging environments. I'm interested in professional opportunities where I can add a new perspective to the mix, be a part of a team that values authentic storytelling, and do gratifying work in a fast-paced, international environment.
During my time with Javlin, I spearheaded the social media strategy for CloverETL rapid data integration platform in the US market; transformed technical use cases into compelling customer success stories for print, video, and web; wrote press releases and blogs highlighting product releases and newsworthy tech events; and collaborated on scripts and provided the voice-over for brand, product, and technical videos. CloverETL, optimized for both the direct software and OEM data business, is developed and supported by Javlin, a data solutions company with a more than a decade of experience in providing data software and services to the largest global enterprises.
I spent two years with the Adsmith during university, where I was fortunate to work on and add value to many important projects and campaigns for an incredibly diverse set of clients. I developed headlines and content for brochures, print ads, websites, and billboards; wrote radio spots for store openings, holiday sales, and back-to-school deals; created product names, package copy, and blogs for a national coffee company; and collaborated on scripts for a regional hospital's employee promotional videos. An advertising and design agency, the Adsmith is a full service business development partner offering brand identity, mobile website design, graphic design, advertising, media planning and online marketing.
At Jackson Electric Membership Corporation, I assisted in planning and executing the annual meeting, retiree events, and youth scholarship opportunities with the PR executive; contributed to member services newsletters and publications; and fulfilled literature requests and residential customer warranties for EnergyStar compliant homes. Jackson EMC is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the US, serving more than 194,300 residential and 21,100 commercial and industrial customers in 10 metro Atlanta and northeast Georgia counties.
