Team Member and acting supervisor
This role involved working in close partnership with both the clients and the production team based in Hong Kong, in order to ensure the shops and all Intuzuri brides would receive the most professional customer services possible. My core duties included preparing, processing, checking and managing orders. I was also responsible for managing sample returns and booking couriers, meeting & greeting clients and dealing with their enquiries via telephone calls, e-mails or conference calls. In addition, I was tasked with assisting the Marketing Manager in all marketing duties (Social Media in particular) and conducting marketing researches to develop the brand strategy on a daily basis. Later, I was also in charge for planning the most important event in the industry, the Harrogate Bridal shows, renting furniture, booking travel and accommodation for the staff and sending out the dresses from our main showroom and ensuring everything was running smoothly in-between.
The core duties of this role included assisting in all marketing, PR & press duties, market analysis and blog research. I also implemented the press archives and analysed competitors which has resulted in greater ease of access to a new marketing strategy which helped the brand break into the North American market. I was also involved in general office administration, reporting back to all departments.
For this role I established and maintained a social media presence for the boutique and monitor its feedback. I also helped advertising and creating promotional campaigns and events and liaising with local bloggers to enhance the shop’s visibility in the local media and identify key influences to increase the sales. I did styling and personal shopping assistance as well on a regular basis, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of stock control – ordering, invoicing and processing. I was then given the additional responsibility of unpacking and checking all new stock deliveries, working closely with suppliers. I was also assisting customers in the selection and purchase of items and maintaining superb visual standards within the store.
My studies focused on marketing, social media development and PR studies. Subjects studied for my degree included customer psychology, sociology, marketing, international business and literature. High regard was made upon translation and interpretation on a technical level (with a particular attention to economics, medical studies and law)
This course has taught me about French literature and theatre, furthering my knowledge about French civilisation and culture and improving my spoken French skills to a professional degree.
