Directed the start-up and early operation of The Palms, as well as managing business strategy and planning, leveraging expertise in the development process, launch, and general operation. The project's life cycle included implementing best practices, installing systems, and communicating the business plan and model to multiple end-users. Coordinated community groups and stakeholders as well as the construction of the new building, working alongside the local council, consultants, and construction teams to accomplish set objectives. Oversaw the entire HR and recruiting process for The Palms members, and core staff, as well as payroll and staff development. ● Led a successful bid that won £2 million for the development of The Palms and a series of small grants from business development funds and Lloyds Business Start-up programmes. ● Secured a number of partnerships for the event programmes amounting to more than £50,000 of matched funding with partners such as Sky Arts, Sunday School, Social Investment Bank, and Social School of Entrepreneurs.
