Upon graduating from the Bachelor of Photography course at Melbourne’s RMIT University in 2008 I worked in many areas of commercial photography at a variety of studios and locations across Australia. In addition to running my own business as a freelance photographer, I have regularly been employed as an assistant, digital operator and retoucher for some of Australia’s most well known and skilled photographers. Although since 2012 I have found that working for an established studio in the consistent and fast paced world of online fashion has allowed me to demonstrate my wide range of expertise. Whether it be photographing talent, still life or working in the post-production department, colour correcting, retouching and processing out the previous day’s shoot, usually consisting of 80-100 images. I have proven reliability, efficiency and consistency at several studios as well as a high level of understanding in all areas of the photographic process from pre-production to client delivery, particularly in online fashion based workflows; this includes my vast knowledge and experience using an array of high-end lighting equipment, camera systems, computers and software, both on location and in the studio. I am organised, methodical, hard working and I have all the skills required to photograph and retouch for the many diverse brands at your studio. My years of experience on set have taught me a great deal about working with and managing dynamic teams, problem solving when under pressure and how to balance quality and speed in order to meet the client’s requirements and constantly exceed their expectations. Having spent the past eight months on my first extended holiday from work travelling solo across Asia and Europe, I am looking forward to getting back to what I do best. I recognise this time in London as an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious studio and work with some globally recognised fashion and lifestyle companies. Having worked for many of Australia’s leading premium fashion and lifestyle brands as both a photographer and retoucher I consider myself a valuable asset to any studio. I am currently available for full-time contract or freelance casual work. Please see the attached résumé for my most recent and relevant work experience as well as a small selection of imagery. I would be more than happy to come in for a trial and interview. Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to hearing from you.
