Over the last few years I've been working in the film business, from production to distribution having got into the industry initially by attempting to act, which turns out I wasn't very good at, but it allow me to discover that my abilities behind the scenes were far superior to my camera-facing efforts. So having produced a number of small budget efforts, including the feature length, multi-platform documentary 11Eleven Project, I have now found myself in the increasingly popular "Event Cinema" sector, where I have been since early 2013. At Omniverse Vision I have been part of a small team that has released numerous titles covering various genres, including concerts, theatre, ballet and opera. These have included the Robbie Williams Live from Tallinn, Al Pacino's Salomé, Muse Live from Rome Olympic Stadium (first 4K concert film) and Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night's Dream. As well as handling the sales and marketing side of things, I have been involved in the organisation of premieres, most recently overseeing A Midsummer Night's Dream's premieres in London and New York, which took place within 3 days of each other. The experience gained from covering a variety of areas is invaluable and has given me an in-depth working knowledge of what makes the sector tick, as well as what works and doesn't work, although unsurprisingly the area is ever changing and evolving. Aside from my work in this industry, I am passionate about keeping active and challenging myself. I recently completed a 2100 mile cycle through south east Asia that raised over £5,000 for the mental health charity, Mind, and plan to use this event as a basis for future events that I hope will get people involved in cycling (although not necessarily exclusively) as a way of keeping physically and mentally healthy.

A charity cycling challenge that raised money for the mental health charity, Mind. The role involved publicising the event via social media and more traditional avenues such as printed press and television, as well as a fundraising event which was held at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. The event itself took place in SE Asia, with logistics being dealt with up to the day of departure, with continuous updates of the trip (Hanoi to Singapore) along the way, which was a great help in the fundraising efforts.
