I'm intently aware of the way images tell a story. Working with a mindful and artistic approach, I delight in detail, highlighting the subtle and the unexpected. The thread of human experience runs through my work. From documentary and portraiture, to architecture and travel, I create thoughtful and meaningful images with an emphasis on narrative.
Photography helps me to understand myself and others from a humanistic perspective. I'm interested in the concept of connection: between people, the environment, and ourselves. I worry that modern society is becoming more individualistic, polarized and superficial. In response, my underlying curiosity about cultures leads me to explore the subtle links between them, raising questions about values such as empathy, respect and spirituality.
My projects have been displayed in Museums, Galleries and International Photography Festivals including The Mediterranean Museum in Spain, The Hoxton Gallery and The Manchester Contemporary in the UK, amongst others.

- PureI have lived most of my life between the busy capital cities of London and Madrid, where in spite of full agendas, a permanent nagging feeling of 'missing something' persists. Instinctively, over the last eight years, I've been drawn to photograph people with a different approach to life - calmer and more present. I noticed that photography was helping me to slow down and embrace the sense of peace embodied by people simply "doing nothing". Using a medium format camera and working with film fo
- The OvalOn 5 March 1870, the first-ever international football match was played, England against Scotland. It was organised by The Football Association and resulted in a 1–1 draw. On this day the seed was planted for football to become the most popular game in the entire world, capable of creating intense feelings, and driving people crazy. The match took place in London, in a venue called “The Oval”. But football is more than just a mainstream sport, I experience football as a universal language, that
- In Praise of Generosity"In praise of generosity" is a tribute to the town of Vilassar de Dalt, (Barcelona) and its people who, with determination and passion, created the analogue photography festival RevelaT in 2012. I developed the project over the artistic residency I took part in 2019, through a collection of intimate portraits of the volunteers in the heart of the festival: Cal Galbart, an abandoned old factory, in dialogue with minimal urban landscapes of the town. nacho-rivera.com

Residence for photographic creation and experimentation.RevelaT - Contemporary analog photography festival
Over the artistic residency, I created the project "In praise of generosity" as a tribute to the town of Vilassar de Dalt, (Barcelona) and its people who, with determination and passion, created the analog photography festival RevelaT in 2012.
The project showed a collection of intimate portraits of the volunteers in the heart of the festival: Cal Galbart, an abandoned old factory, in dialogue with minimal urban landscapes of the town.+ Show more
