- Film Festival identityThe BFI Film Festival showcases the best of world cinema. It celebrates creativity, originality, vision and imagination. It presents the best from established and emerging film directors. Brief: To create a set of brochures for the BFI Film Festival. Solution: Graphic elements and different colour were used to bring the idea and feel. A special fold was created to reveal information and finally display as a poster.
- City BrandingLaunceson is one of the oldest cities in Tasmania, Australia. It serves as the main commercial hub for north of Tasmania and is fast becoming a major tourist centre. Brief: To create a new identity and campaign to promote and boost tourism in Launceston. Solution: The logo design was inspired by how Launceston is located where two rivers join into one. The tag line explains the idea of Lauceston being a major tourist centre and commercial zone which Tasmania is proud of. The logo was developed into a pattern, which became main element of identity and rolled out in to the stationary and mobile website.
- Festival identityThe experimental music festival celebrates the diverse methods of sound art and sound theory and offers a range of events including concerts, immersive sound presentations, audio-visual and recorded work, exhibitions and installations. Featuring most imaginative musicians, composers, sound designers and media artists in a sense specific feast for ears. Brief: To name and create an identity for the experimental music festival. Solution: The name Offtune means a melody, one for which harmony is not essential. The challenge of presenting Offtune was to give positive impression of disturbing word. The effect of wearing 3-D glasses was created to highlight the idea of two separate elements joining together to create a perfect image. This is to show how in music disharmonies create new harmony and melody.
