Nakiah Varcianna is a writer and director known for the short films Kids (2020) and Scopolamine (2017).
Nakiah Varcianna was born on the 10th February 1993 in Nottingham, United Kingdom. Nakiah now resides in Tottenham, North London.
In 2012 he moved to London to study film at the University of West London and graduated with a BA Hons in Film & TV Production.
Since then he has been working in the industry and been making films independently.
Aside from filmmaking. Nakiah also directs short form content such as corporate videos, brand advertisements etc.

During my short tenure at Smuggler as PA, I assisted in getting productions together and seeing it through until the final cut. A few of the tasks I was required to complete was acquiring all documents needed for the shoot from getting location permits, to completing risk assessments, cutting down audition tapes from talent for it to be presented to the head Producer. Hiring, sorting and packing equipment for it to be transferred to location. Sourcing and contacting freelance crew members and any other task that was required in between. Productions were mainly commercials for TV/Online.

During my time as a Runner at Goldcrest Films. I was required to keep tabs on all departments within the post-house; from keeping the studios and edit suites in top condition and regularly packed up with fruit and water. Providing hospitality to all staff and clients, some of which being high-profile 'A-Listers' actors, directors, producers, editors and PPS'. Delivering hard drives and film reels to different production companies was also a major part of the runner role, as well as moving equipment in the building around to accommodate new post units. One of the more notable post production teams we had to cater to were the team on Jason Bourne (2016) as well as Andrea Arnold (OBE) and her team for American Honey (2016).
