I am a London-based artist and illustrator. I trained in Fashion Design (Womenswear) at Ravensbourne, London and graduated in 2012. Since then I have worked as a Design Room Assistant for a womenswear supplier in London and have volunteered for an off-grid arts organisation in Spain. I am a skilled illustrator working mainly in watercolour, pencil and digital editing. My work takes a lot of inspiration from my fashion training, with a strong eye for colour, print and the figurative.
Self employed artist & illustrator working on freelance projects. Regularly illustrate at London Fashion Week for the online magazine Bodhiluxe. Exhibited as part of Calluna Collective at Keswick Museum & Art Gallery (Sept-Dec 2014) Shortlisted for C-ART Young Cumbrian Artst 2014
Advise customers on different mediums, papers and brushes to suit their individual needs. We provided a bespoke framing service and I would give my considered opinion on the aesthetic appeal of different framing options to suit the individual's needs.
Volunteer at an off-grid arts organisation in Spain. Team work, helping in all areas from preparing the house for guests, to gardening. Volunteered my creative skills such as sewing to enrich the house aesthetically. Creating cushions and more practical textile pieces such as draught excluders. Great communication skills and adaptable - I worked in an ever changing environment and worked with new people often.
Design Room Assistant for Womenswear Supplier Pattern cutting for the ASOS skirt department. I would create moodboards for meetings with buyers from various departments within ASOS. I would choose relevant fabrics and trims to show buyers for them to select their choices for new samples. Liaised between the head designer and various fabric/trim suppliers. Ordered fabric sampling daily and chased orders. Sent out finished samples to buyers such as ASOS. Outsourced production of certain garments & ensured all the components were ready for production. Administrative skills such as emailing, chasing orders, filing, general tidying. Assisting machinists - shortening zips, finding relevant trims, straps and threads. Photographed and logged each sample before sending them to the buying department.
Womenswear covered a range of disciplines from design to pattern cutting and production. I created an evening wear collection during my final year which was sponsored by Swarovski Elements. The collection focused on surface textiles. I designed hand painted digital prints as well as tambour beading.
