Naomi Grant is a writer, filmmaker, content creator and freelance journalist. She has been nominated for a Positive Youth Award for upcoming filmmaker, and Positive Role Model award at the National Diversity Awards. Her debut documentary was released in February 2017: 50 Shades of Melanin and has been aired on Community Channel TV, with an audience of over a million people. With her recent film release, Future First, she has toured around the UK premiering her film at different festivals and speaking as a panellists at many events. She recently presented at Making London Conference to over forty people alongside creatives from Dazed, Instagram and Google. Naomi has worked with companies creating content and marketing strategies to build their brand. She has also built her own brand, LAMBB where she creates and curates inspiring content. Her work has been featured on The Metro, Yahoo, Dazed, Afropunk, gal-dem, Un-ruly, The Voice, The British Blacklist and Worldstar. Her favourite quote is âthere is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.â

- Dare to DreamLast year I was commissioned by Youtube Originals x Livity to create a spin off Terms & Conditions film. Iâm very excited to start of the year with Dare to Dream, starring Joe Bay. The short documentary explores societal systems that fail black men through a musically charged dialogue between him and the female influences in his life.

- Black GloryThe stigmatisation of black women's hair has gone unchallenged for far too long. This has been fuelled by the idea that there is only one way to be beautiful and by extension, acceptable. Project Embrace aims to challenge this narrow and outdated idea of beauty. This short film addresses the discrimination and micro aggression black women face but also show them just how worthy they are of positive representation and celebration.
