I am of Russian-Ukrainian heritage and I started my creative journey in fine art. Whilst my focus has shifted to the field of design, my affinity for cross-disciplinary methodologies that combine physical and digital mediums continue to permeate my work. This tendency to continuously experiment and learn new skills is what drove me to study Creative Direction for Fashion. Although I never expected to be in the fashion sphere, I chose this course as it allowed me to develop well-informed, problem-solving concepts through a variety of research methods; which I could then apply to a design solution that strives to make a difference. This empathetic lens is what inspires me to explore concepts that are rooted in their benefit to the people and the planet. My second passion in life is science, which presents itself through not only the use of organic forms and textures, but also through my concepts, which often explore material innovations. Furthermore, I believe my interest in this field is what encouraged me to undertake the additional Creative Computing diploma that allowed me to push my skills further through coding, physical computing and artificial intelligence.
