After I finished university in early April, I secured a part-time job as a food service assistant at a Sainsbury's supermarket in Kenilworth. This experience has allowed me to further my knowledge of the food industry but also the retail business as Sainsbury's trains you in every department in order to further your skills. My responsibilities consist of :
• Cutting and carving the different assortments of meat and cheese
• Filling reports of the reduced, out of stock and clean records
• Greeting/conversing customers
• Spend 90% working independently
• Knowing the health and safety requirement’s for the food and environment
• Training into different departments for e.g customer service, bakery, food trading, etc. in order to be utilized for any extra shifts
• Attaining better organizational skills with re-arranging whats needs to be reduced, coat-checked and sold within the day

• Arranging meetings with potential clients
• Attending various meetings writing the meeting minutes and contract filing

• Handled the printing and filing system for my boss, thus developed organisational skills.
