Writing, storytelling, content strategising and crafting stories rooted in authenticity are at the core of my professional endeavours. A can-do character, I enjoy more than anything working with new concepts that challenge my ideas and views about the world and force me to think outside the box. My background in journalism and communications, strengthened by my education and experience with content strategy, allow me to combine both the creative and the data-driven aspects of work.

    I joined the GLAMOUR Romania team as Features Editor, and one of my main tasks was to come up with ideas and write lifestyle-related articles, about relationships, self, health, or to conduct interviews with filmmakers, photographers and artists. Translating articles and cover stories from English, Spanish and Russian and adapting them into Romanian was also an essential part of my job. I also contributed with content for the online version of the magazine (www.glamour.ro) and managed it's Instagram page at times. I continue my collaboration with GLAMOUR Romania, acting as Contributing Writer for both the print and online versions of the magazine. My articles are lifestyle-related, ranging from interviews with artists, personal essays or feature pieces.

    As Media and Communications Manager, I handled all of HON's internal and external communication. I started my journey by working with content strategy, focusing on establishing HON's target audience, tone of voice, main channels and ways to convey the company's main stories and aims. I also worked with revising and editing the already available copy on the website and in the app, wrote columns for HON's newsletter, implemented new ideas, wrote copy and created content for HON's Social Media channels, maintained relationships with HON's stakeholders, researched and developed a plan for a future podcast.

    This course targeted future content managers, offering a foundation in content strategy, a toolbox for content production and a practical case to apply knowledge to. It consisted of 12 sessions covering audience research, authenticity and tonality, storytelling, SEO, measuring success and more. Some of the key takeaways from this experience were learning how to work with content briefs, optimising content for each stage of the marketing funnel, understanding data and exploring storytelling and different content formats.

    This postgraduate programme included the study of traditional media organisations (television, print, media, radio) and also that of new media entities, such as social media platforms, digital news media, streaming services. The courses I took looked at how media and technologies influence our everyday lives and shape our ideas about the world, society, culture and politics. Media and power, social movements, identity, extremism, gender, diversity, war and conflict, representation, climate change, and migration are the topics analysed within this programme. My Master Thesis, titled "Intimacy and distance in the age of technology", analysed the intricacies of long-distance romantic relationships and how intimacy is created and nurtured through technology and digital media platforms. It used a methodological triangulation, combining quantitative content analysis with qualitative interviews, as tools to investigate the doings of couples who find themselves geographically challenged.
