Festival Assistant
A vital member of the Licensing team at Leeds Festival involved working on site from start to finish, for five weeks, being involved in the entire event process. My role demanded a minimum of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was essential to prioritise my workload by responding instantly in a high pressured environment to any situations that arise when running an event with 70,000 people.
-Liaising with contractors, police and council officials, chasing requirements, catering orders, dealing with accommodation requirements, personal radio allocations and onsite passes amongst others.
-Delivering to tight deadlines and managing key elements of the license conditions, including PNC checks, Staff allocation and Secret Shopping.
-Solely responsible for managing requirements, distribution and allocation, including catering, equipment from PPE including tabards, fire backpacks, loud hailers, furniture etc.
-Responding to emails promptly, creating spreadsheets and aiding with the everyday workings of an onsite environment and office management.
-Supporting colleagues in the licensing office with the general running of the festival.
