About me
Since graduating from University of East London with a 1st class Honours degree, I have followed my passion for photography, working as a photographer’s assistant for various photographers over 18 months. Through this work, I have learnt many technical aspects of Photography, had the opportunity to work with well-known and influential people within the industry while working on a variety of different projects and differing styles alongside them. In doing so, I have learned a lot more about how the industry works, including business and technical aspects, gained valuable experience of both location based and in studio shoots, the art of collaboration and developed skills working with clients to determine needs and requirements whilst providing the highest quality of work at all times. I am technically proficient with camera equipment: film, lenses, filters, and lighting; have worked with photographers on special projects: in studio, film sets and travelled for location shoots; and executed digital photography work flow: capturing, downloading, editing, printing, backup and cataloguing. I have also been responsible for setting up and breaking down studio equipment and lighting and making pick-up and delivery of equipment from rental facilities amongst various other administrative tasks. For 6 months I was working on a social fashion project called Guilty Clothes, a project raising awareness for victims of sexual assault. Ran by one of the biggest and most respected Russian advertising companies called Marvellous who worked in conjunction with Zarya Film Production another leading Russian agency. I held the role of Production Crew Producer, a role which involved leading the shows production due to the agencies lack of English knowledge. During this time, I really enjoyed working in this environment, it allowed me to hone my organisation skills and I found new skills that I excel at. My key responsibilities were communication with both the client and customer, building relationships and consulting with clients during pre and post production to meet their needs. I was solely responsible for the acquiring the venue for a linked video shoot and final event space. Individually sourced the models for the show, women who shared their stories, organising necessary tools and equipment required for event as well as hiring photographers/video operators. I oversaw the production and post production, conducted social PR, contacting bloggers, media and British Fashion Council for support all of whom offered their support. Throughout this all I built a rapport with charities and special societies, conducting extensive research into their work and conducted interviews all whilst working closely with these charities to acquire a high profile backer for the campaign. This project has already gained its popularity around the world and getting stronger everyday with more and more countries joining in on the conversation. The project has already won many awards such as golden reward on a festival called White Square, Grand Prix and gold reward on a festival called Silver Mercury, silver reward at the Ad Black Sea festival, golden reward at the ADCR festival, and shortlisted at the Cannes Lions Festival. You can find the information about the project following the link bellow: https://guiltyclothes.com For the last 4 months I have been working with established photographers agencies, A&R Creative (Production intern), Germaine Walker (Sales & Advertising intern/freelancer), Darling Creative (Marketing intern/freelancer) through this work it has allowed me to expanding my experience in various areas of the business. Whilst working with these agencies, my general duties included creating client presentations; generating agency meetings, attending them and research; following up with clients; updating company data base; completing daily task log; presenting portfolios and digital content. Production tasks included research; location scouting; making orders; communicating with clients directly; creating invoices & budgets; looking after model go sees; following up with clients; maintaining the agency website and ensuring that the artists portfolios are up to date; managing the agency’s social media accounts including but not limited to: Instagram, Twitter and Blogs; ensuring that we have digital and physical forms of all published/commissioned work for each artist; day to day management of the office; liaising with artists and clients directly about their needs; booking hotels, transportation, catering, studios, equipment, props, assistants, models, etc.
