I am a diligent and enthusiastic recent graduate with a two BA degrees, one in History of Art and one in Illustration. This combination of analytical, research and creative skills gives me a unique approach to design problem solving. I'm looking for a role in a creative agency, ideally a place where I can explore these two facets of my skill set. Whilst studying, I have been working freelance at Gravity Road; a digital content agency in London. Whilst there, I have assisted with design tasks for some of their largest clients, including Sainsburys and Mondelez; layouts for websites, creating gifs, and storyboarding pitches. Alongside these tasks, I have worked as a freelance PA and office manager for the two founders and managing director, working efficiently and flexibly to keep the office running smoothly. Juggling these tasks has taught me the importance of prioritization and group-work as I am often brainstorming ideas with the design team. While there, I listen nosily and intently, soaking in all I can about the advertising industry and the importance of understanding the needs of ones’ audience. In May 2015 I produced and curated an exhibition of New York street photographer Bruce Gilden’s work at the Cob Gallery in London. Moving away from traditional photo display, the photographs were presented as wallpaper, framed prints and in vitrines showing the photographic process. Weaving a narrative through the staging of the exhibition was exciting and challenging. The exhibition ran alongside Photo London 2015 and was covered in The Guardian, The Independent, and Vice. I feel that my academic research background combined with my practical skills that I have been acquiring over the last six years, through both my educational and extra-curricular endeavors, point towards a role in advertising, an industry in which I believe I'd thrive.
