I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual, with a broad background in many cultural and artistic fields, looking to develop my career as a writer & scriptwriter. I am dependable and sociable, and therefore able to work both independently and collaboratively. At Bournemouth & Farnham Film Schools I worked on many ground-breaking short films, many of which enjoyed festival successes around the world. I have written for theatre, radio and film, moving effortlessly from comedy & satire to drama. In addition to this I write short-stories, flash-fiction and reviews, drawing from my sharply developed worldview. I am keen to expand, not only my own views on what writing has the potential to achieve, but to help others find their own quintessentially unique voices
Taking up-to-the-minute sports headlines, I would rework them to appeal to the website's core readership (young, go-getting professionals from around the world) albeit with a heavily satirical slant. My articles can be found under the name Xantheterra.
From January 2014 to February 2015 I worked as the Lead Dramatist & Facilitator for Shooting Fish Theatre Co. in Lincoln, to devise and write the scripts for four new plays for stage with students from the CLIP Learning Foundry. The first two plays, Spanish for Beginners and Arabeska, opened at Trinity Arts Centre on July 2014, with Flutterby and Back Story following in February this year
In July 2012 I served as the Lead Scriptwriter & Co-Project Manager for the inaugural Bertarelli Creative Minds Festival at The Regent Theatre in Stoke. This required me to script six short (15min) playlets and four short (10min) film scripts for presentation during Festival Week, working alongside various schools and community groups, many of them quite challenging.
