My responsibilities lay in four key areas - leading projects, directing output, managing the team and client relations. I reported to the Creative Director, in a close partnership to drive out the best creative product.
I lead projects by determining and assigning resource to deliver the best response. This means getting involved at creative inception, generating platforms for exploration and conducting idea sessions to develop incisive thinking. I was also required to deliver from my own desk where senior expertise is needed.
Directing department output was an active everyday task ensuring all work is on target and on time. With a team of nine creatives I managed Copywriters, Designers, Art Directors and Creative Artworkers. Through simple reporting lines, I placed responsibility within teams and support through regular reviews and approvals.
Team management means taking away the barriers to developing great work within a deadline driven agency, providing guidance internally and managing expectation externally. Driving collaboration is key while maintaining personal respect and professional authority.
My role was client facing, with responsibility to ensure perfect presentation architecture maintaining a consistent agency look and feel, and effectively articulating creative output.
