Stage Manager

Roll - Up Theatre

Jul 2016 - Sep 2016
  • Edinburgh, UK
  • Full Time
  • I acted as an intermediary between the directors and the actors, ensuring backstage was in order for the show to run smoothly. During the month we all lived together, my role became more about managing relationships than it did the day-to-day running of the show. My duties included managing a team of up to ten cast and crew each day for our show, which was to an audience of fifty people each day. I had to solve any problems that arose in a quick and creative manner; this meant making lots of decisions on your feet and acting quickly. I kept everything off stage running smoothly this meant the changing room, set, costume and cast. This experience has helped me learn a lot about working with others to ensure a happy cast and crew but ultimately a successful show.
