About me
I’m a Writer, Script Editor, and Narrative Consultant. Always passionate about storytelling, in 2009 I pursued the opportunity to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting for Screen at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Over the next 13 months I trained daily in voice, movement, script and camera work, constantly preparing roles and performing in front of camera. While this training focused on acting, I was also exposed to other creative elements such as directing, producing and writing. Returning to Australia, I lived and worked as an actor in Sydney, working on independent films and in corporate and freelance workshops designed to produce original works for film and theatre. Taking up study again in 2017, I attended the Australian Film, Television & Radio School in Sydney studying an Advanced Diploma in Feature Film-writing. This further embedded the foundations of story and character creation I’d already developed, with my acting background giving me a unique perspective when conceiving of realistic and compelling dialogue. In 2018 I once again attended the same institution this time studying an Advanced Diploma in Script Editing and Development. This qualification provided me with a deeper knowledge of writing, plotting and editing narratives across many different styles and mediums. It also equipping me with the skills to analyse scripts and provide honest, insightful and concise feedback to writers and other key creatives. This degree has been completed by less than 25 people Australia wide.
