About me

have over eight years of industry based experience across the graphic design field. My professional Career began in 2008 when I began working on set of the Harry Potter films based at Leavesden Studios north of Watford. This was an invaluable experience for me working with Oscar award winning designers and professionals. This exposure to such a high level process of working hugely improved all aspects of my design practice and professional outlook which I still carry with me today. I then carried this experience forward into a successful freelance design career and have built up a great client list including Macy's New York, Nike, English Heritage, The British Library, Adnam's and many more. I have worked across many processes of graphic design including illustration, web/responsive, advertising, art direction, print and design. In 2009 I was selected to represent the U.K at the 2009 biennale in Macedonia. This was an ideal platform for me to network and collaborate with like-minded individuals from across Europe. It was an incredibly enriching experience. I met many talented and interesting people who I am still in contact with, and continue to collaborate with. I pride myself not just on my commercial artwork but also my personal work which I always print by hand. I was selected by the independents arts review as one of the top ten illustrators in the U.K. My personal work has featured in Creative Review Illustration Annual alongside a selection of the best illustration work of 2010. A selection of my work has also been featured in Now Illustration 4. I take an active roll in Manchester's art scene and also when possible the national arts scene where I have just recently exhibited at the Northern design festival alongside several other illustrators.

Projects

• AdnamsHere is a series of illustration work carried out for brewing company Adnams. This is one of my biggest projects to date creating illustrations for use across web, print and advertising
• Personal WorksThis is a small selection of some of my personal work. All of my personal work I screen print by hand in small editions and are available to purchase.
• Editorial WorksHere is a selection of some editorial work I have produced. From posters to maps I've worked for companies such as Macy's, Persil, Green House, The Independent and The Times.
• Hot Rum CowHot Rum Cow is a specialist alcohol magazine based in Edinburgh. Every new edition has a theme and with this theme an illustrator is comissioned to produce artwork for the cover and inside spreads. I was approached to work on the whisky edition and discovered the dark underbelly of whisky production. Check out the latest artworks and magazine here.
• A Foxes TailThis is a calander project I carried out for Aubin & Wills. I was asked to use the branding of there Iconic fox and take the character I created through the year. Unfortunately this was not published but wanted to share the work as I had a lot of great feedback.
• Harry PotterI was fortunate enough to be asked to work across the last two films 6 and 7 of the Harry Potter saga. I have included just a few designs that I produced for the Weasley's joke shop on Diagon Alley which was one of my main projects. I only produced a fraction of the artwork to be used on set the rest was from Graphic Design team MinaLima who were the head graphic designers on the film.
