- 2.000.000 steps. Story of a promiseThis long documentary will tell the story of a person undertaking the Camino de Santiago from Almeria with bare feet, 1.420 km long and 80-day trip. A struggle against the elements and against themselves, a way of overcoming that will culminate with the arrival of the Plaza del Obradoiro. “It is said that mother is only one. One day I was said I would lose mine. I can not describe the helplessness I felt. Then I made a promise. If it healed I would be able to walk thousands of miles barefoot, pushing the boundaries of endurance and pain. From Almeria to Santiago de Compostela is 2,000,000 steps. My mother was cured and now I have a long road ahead.” 2.000.000 steps. Story of a promise. It is not just a documentary about someone walking in one direction, but a walk on the other side of our geography, through ravines and roads real trees. The visit to the villages and its people is a constant that provides another view of the Spanish territory far from the conventional tourist. The enormous natural wealth and historical heritage will be our geographical references. Making such a long way, on foot and in harsh conditions provides an extra incentive to the viewer (as occurs in other formats such as “The Last Survivor”) empathize with the protagonist’s personal circumstances. The increasing proliferation of new media formats that increasingly attempt to bring the viewer is one of the foundations on which rests this documentary. Web 2.0 is a cornerstone of any project today and it does not stay on the sidelines as the outreach and follow-through this medium will be basic before, during and after execution.
