My name is Nicola, I'm a freelance UI / Digital Designer based in London. I've been fortunate enough to work for some amazing companies and mentors since graduating in Graphic Design in 2010. I've worked on a range of digital projects for some well known clients including - BP, TFL, IBM, Jaguar Land Rover and Westminster Abbey. I work mainly on responsive sites and native apps though I'm trained in UX and am comfortable doing wireframing. I'm capable of working on projects that range from visually complex to triple A accessible. I'm comfortable joining a team or working solo and can work on small or large projects.
My name is Nicola and I’m a freelance designer specialising in responsive websites and apps. I’m an enthusiastic, well organised and bubbly digital designer. I use photoshop and illustrator fluently, I’m also well-versed in invisionapp, web flow, Indesign and Axure. I’ve worked on some amazing projects for clients such as BP, TFL and IBM. I've also got to work with start-ups that needed to have a brand built from scratch which is great to be part of. I am happy to work in a team or on my own, and I enjoy all projects and varieties of digital design.
I’m the sole digital designer at Spark, Frameworks. I have been creating responsive websites, responsive prototypes, and apps for mobile and watches.
I was a Digital Designer at netro42, working on projects from conception to delivery. My role primarily involves design of UX and UI interfaces. The majority of projects are responsive websites along with the occasional triple A website.
At Keytree I was a visual and User experience designer. I work mainly on responsive sites starting with wireframes then creating the designs. I also help to create work for presentations and have presented my designs directly to clients.
I joined Design by Structure at the end of 2012 on a year contract. While working here I have solely focused on my love of digital design. I've been working on wireframing, responsive design, websites and apps. When needed I've designed twitter pages, emailers and digital invites.
In February 2011 I got the job of Junior Production Designer with The Group (now Addison Group), a large corporate website company focused on clients within the FTSE 100. While here I have created hotspots, photoshopped/cut out images, chose images to show on clients sites, and helped the senior designer with page designs for websites and apps. I’ve had a lot of practice with diagrams and producing guides, PDF documents and design presentations for clients.
I attended University of Essex after finishing my college course studying Graphic Design. I learnt many skills for working in print such as layouts, print design, CD design, Exhibition layouts, photography and letterpress. In my second year I also started to intern for design agencies for free. I knew I needed to stand out from other candidates when I had graduated. I did 2 years free work working in print and fashion before I landed my first job in a digital agency.
