I’m currently working Full time as a Nursery Practitioner working with children aged 1-2 with a 1-3 ratio to one adult.
My duties are to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting.
To give support to staff within the setting.
To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
Building and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, changing nappies, putting the children to sleep.
Supervising children within the facility as well as during outdoor playtime.
Planning observations based on their interests and helping the children to learn and grow.
Setting up daily activities so the children can explore sensory free play.
Giving feedback to parents at the end of each day to say what the child has been doing and how their day has been.

I moved to Cyprus in April 2017 and found a job as a nursery teacher at Bright Stars. My duties at the nursery was having a class up to 10 children with the ages of 18 months to 2 year olds.
My daily routine at this nursery was doing a 15 minute lesson every morning which include learning the alphabet, shapes, numbers, colours, sounds and letters.
We also have a theme each week and this involves arts and craft activities with the children.
Throughout the day I set up my classroom with sensory play/free play/construction play.
I also helped with lunch and snack times, feeding the babies and changing nappies.

Supervising outside play.
