Aspiring to work within a creative roleLondon, United Kingdom
About me
I'm an Ambitious, hard-working and creative individual and a Masters graduate in Film-Making. I would like to pursue a career in a creative role. A creative career path will enable me to express my creativity further by thinking of new ideas to help with the success of an upcoming project and to visually create elements that will captivate a particular audience. I would like to gain more experience in this job field and to develop my skills. I created a portfolio website during my second year of my BA degree in Digital Arts with my previous career direction for Graphic Design. Projects
  • Graphic Design 2016
Graphic Design 2016I created three different posters in Photoshop to showcase for my online portfolio. I enjoyed being able to use the software to be creative in order to visually convey a message. Therefore, this is an aspect of graphic design I enjoy; especially being able to have the opportunity to experiment with different colours and effects.
  • The Follower
The FollowerI was the camera operator for a short film I created with my film group during the first year of my BA Digital Arts degree. Film summary: Chloe is an average second year university student living off-campus visiting her best friend, Grace. While the two are chatting over a cup of tea Chloe receives a strange message from Ryan, an old friend of hers who has been acting 'odd' lately. As Chloe is walking back home through the obscure eerie forest she begins to feel uncomfortable. Is that shadowy
  • Take Off to a Better Start
Take Off to a Better StartI was the camera operator for a documentary I created with my Film group during the second year of my BA Digital Arts degree. This was to help raise awareness about the symptoms of mental health and how the organisation, Take Off, help to bring people together.
  • Traditional Art - Self Portrait
Traditional Art - Self Portrait I enjoy traditional art by using pen and pencil to draw portraits. My main focus was to ensure that I creatively present myself in order to showcase my personality.
  • Graphic Design assignment - Logo Designs
Graphic Design assignment - Logo Designs I sketched different logo designs for my Graphic Design assignment during my first year of university. It was required to create your own brand; I decided to design logos that reflects my passion for art and creating graphics. Moreover, I received feedback from students in my class in order to acknowledge which logo would be the best to develop in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Photography in Kent - Flowers
Photography in Kent - FlowersI photographed roses and a daisy to showcase for my online portfolio. The photographs were taken at Dane Johns Gardens in Canterbury. In addition, I ensured that each were in focus, thereby being the focal point of the shot. Colourful and vibrant flowers immediately interests my attention and I wanted to allow the details of each to be shown, without other objects in the background interfering with the viewers focus on the plants. I used a Nikkon camera to capture each photograph, ensuring the apenture was set correctly to avoid causing a blurry appearance.

On Wednesday the 26th of October I went to the work experience development day that enabled people who are in secondary school, college, university and also involving graduates, to find out more information about applying to future job roles. The day involved: - Getting to know everyone in the group by introducing myself to another person. - A task that involved working in a group to find out common themes related to five dream jobs a majority of people wrote down in the room. - Gaining advice about ensuring to love the job you are applying to work for. - Listening to graduates who worked at SKY, explaining their experience. - Networking with the different recruiters and employees at SKY. - Finding out more information about how to improve your CV; this section of the day also involved working in a group to look at real CVs in order to critique their pros and cons. - Finding out more information about how to write a good cover letter. - Finding out more information about assessment centres. - At the end of the day I had to work in a group to present a sports presentation regarding 'what they don't tell us in education' in reference to the future. I was able to learn new information about the job application process and I found the day very helpful as it enabled me to realise how to highly consider taking your time to produce a good CV and written content for the questions employers require to be answered. My favourite part of the day was presenting the sports presentation; it allowed me to have more practice presenting in front of people.

I worked in the IT section for three days by looking at their latest website to see what elements could be improved by providing written feedback. My role also involved creating a wire-frame that outlined the functionality of the website in order to convey my ideas visually to the company.
