Kapitza is the creative studio of sisters Petra and Nicole Kapitza, who share a passion for colour, patterns, mathematics and nature. The studio is collaborating with a wide range of international brands across the worlds of fashion, interiors, cosmetics, product design and publishing. Their clients include Comme des Garçons, Gucci, Clinique, USPS, Braun, Swatch and IKEA.
Kapitza have gained a global following for their innovative pattern art books which showcase their bold, colourful artworks. These artworks are the result of the studio’s ongoing experimental research into geometric shapes and mathematic formulas as well as organic structures found in nature and mark making. Together with their intelligent conceptual colour language this defines the unique style of Kapitza’s art.

- Kapitza World InstallationKapitza World’ is a dynamic opening event for visitors to the Vienna Design Week. For the site-specific installation Kapitza cleverly repurposes japanese paper (washi) tape to create a dazzling mural of vertical and horizontal interactions and arrangements, all meticulously tailored to the exact dimensions of the 115 sq. metre space.
- Kapitza x Swatch Art WeekWe are very proud to be collaborating with Swatch again by kicking off their Art Week with two limited edition designs: Move On Up and Together Forever. The limited edition artworks are classic Kapitza: bright, colourful, minimalist and joyful, featuring abstract geometric shapes, monochrome stripes and bold colour transitions. Customers can make their unique Kapitza Swatch by choosing which part of the artwork features on the watch.
