About me
Studying Textile Design at the Arts University Bournemouth allowed me to create bespoke fabrics, wallpapers and flooring through the medium of handprint, digital print, laser cut/ etch techniques using Photoshop and Illustration for an Interior application. From this I gained an invaluable experience as an Intern styling for House and Garden Magazine that lead me to become an Interior Designer for Joanna Wood. I have worked in the High End Residential sector of the Interior Design Industry for over 3 years and have experience managing a Penthouse project that featured in Vol. 23 Andrew Martin Design Review, an achievement I am incredibly proud of.
Projects
  • The Crux of Americana
The Crux of AmericanaInspired by a journey undertaken through the heart of America, this collection reflects the different states visited and explores the juxtaposition between urban and rural as well as cultural clashes within the United States of America. A combination of drawings in an illustrative style and a carefully chosen selection of materials and specialist techniques, such as hand print, digital print, laser cut and etch, create a collection of fabrics, wallpapers and flooring for an interior application.

Joanna Wood International Interior Design Practice creates high end and contemporary interiors within the luxury market. I first joined Joanna Trading as a Design Assistant whereby I worked directly under my Senior Designer. After six months I was promoted to Interior Designer. I gained more responsibility and independence with my design work of which I have continuously built upon over the past three years and have sharpened my skills in both design and account management. I have been incredibly fortuitous to have been given the opportunity to attend a ten week CAD course and an Estimate training course that have been invaluable to my progression as an Interior Designer. Projects that I have worked on vary from a Contemporary Penthouse to a Grade I Listed Country Home. My duties include all aspects from budgeting and handling the accounts, attending site meetings, Client liaison, creating schemes, sourcing furniture, lighting, wall coverings and accessories of which I procure these items through the program EstiPC, to creating furniture and lighting layouts in CAD.

     - Bournemouth, United Kingdom
I received a First Class BA (Hons) Textile Design Degree whereby I specialised in Hand Print, Digital Print and Laser Cut/ Etch designs for Wallcoverings, Fabrics and Hard Surfaces such as flooring for an Interior application. My designs were influenced by filmography and were translated into pattern repeats. Each design was initially hand drawn and then translated onto a surface either digitally or by screen printed methods.
