A highly organised, pro-active and enthusiastic individual with over 10 years’ administration experience within creative industries such as publishing, music and events. I am a dynamic administrator and communicator who has a strong capability working under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Assistant Event Manager

  • Organising and implementing 25 annual industry events across the UK including; prestigious awards ceremonies, 3-day conferences, specialist forums, themed parties, corporate days and round table discussions. Providing complete onsite and back office event management and administration, under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Duties included: • Accurate management of all bookings and packages on the CRM and Event Manager databases, ensuring all confirmations and information is managed and delivered • Assisting with the creation and sending of event invitation emails with an emphasis on data quality and accuracy • Handling delegate bookings and enquiries via telephone, email and website and dealing with invoice queries • Building and managing relationships with speakers, delegates, sponsors, award finalists and suppliers • Liaising with editorial, design studio and the sales team for advertising and the production of company merchandise for events, along with proofreading printed material • Supporting the creation of delegate packs, name badges and other marketing materials for events • Management of exhibitions; liaising with the contractors to ensure accurate floor plans and stand locations, electrical requirements and fascia/shell scheme - ensuring exhibitors have pre-event and onsite support • Liaising with clients to ascertain precise event requirements including agreeing and arranging site visits, planning room layouts, seating plans and entertainment, and booking and managing travel and accommodation This is a temporary position finishing in July 2016
