- Out of sight, Out of mindOut of Sight, Out of Mind is inspired by the Martian film that is based on the astronaut Mark Watney, who is left behind on Mars. All alone on an empty planet, the character Mark must be resourceful at all times in order to sustain life on Mars. One of his survival methods depicted in the film was ‘the Martian potatoes’, through which he fertilises Martian soil with his own faeces, slicing potatoes and planting them.
