  • ? Part of a theatre collective producing and devising large-scale immersive experiences for festivals and pop-up events around the country. ? Have to design and build temporary performance spaces that are rich in detail, much like an installation. ? Source, and then collaborate with, other companies and artists to produce work of a high standard. ? Lead the devising process for new projects, working with large groups of multi-disciplinary performers. ? Receive a fee per project and then budget appropriately – buying materials, booking rehearsals, travel, accommodation etc.

  • ? Co-founder of emerging theatre company. I co-write and direct most of our material. In the last two years we have toured two brand new full-length shows - The Number of the Beast and Soften the Grey - produced three editions of our new writing night, Shattered Fragments, and created a number of smaller bespoke pieces for various arts events. We are currently developing a new play. ? As well as writing and directing, responsibilities include budgeting and sourcing funding, booking rehearsal and performance spaces, marketing and publicity design, management of social networking and general artistic leadership. ? Have to manage and lead groups of actors and liaise on an almost daily basis with my co-artistic director. ?   • ? I set up three after school groups for the Youth Theatre - the first such satellite groups. Two in primary schools, and one in a special school for boys with behavioural problems. ? Cover leader for Youth Theatre’s other groups. ? Freelance writer and director – in 2013 I directed one of the main productions, last year I wrote a play for them. ? Have to plan lessons, rehearse projects, unlock and prepare the premises, supervise various different age and ability groups and manage an assistant leader. ? Also help devise and run off-site school workshops and performances, including a tour of our award winning show Off The Level. ? Have worked closely with the Youth theatre’s group for adults with learning disabilities, Discover Drama.

Conceive, co-ordinate and host a wide variety of events, e.g. The Love Show (a musical comedy night of romance), Nigel's Edinburgh Extravaganza (a variety show featuring excerpts of popular Edinburgh shows prior to the festival), Munson & Bond's Winter Wonderland (a Christmas cabaret night). ? Manage a variety of other bespoke events – adapt layout of venue to suit the clients, decorate appropriately, cater to each event’s individual needs and requirements. Provide tailored catering and refreshments.

  • ? Book and promote band nights and gigs in the Guildford area. ? Book artists and then act as main point of liaison regarding fees, site access, technical requirements etc. ? Liaise with venue technicians and venue security, pay deposits, manage front of house team and ticketing, manage accounts. ? Act as compere on the night, introducing the acts and hosting a variety of entertaining games with the audience. ? Conceive themes for different nights and control overall artistic direction.
