I have been contributing Art Director of the quarterly title "Grow" by Facebook since March 2019. GROW (known as Rise in the US) is a multi-channel thought leadership programme by facebook, which aims to inspire and connect a global community of business leaders.
My current role sits within the creative team at Soho House & Co who are collectively responsible for all graphic design output within the business globally, such as producing print and digital collateral and branding as well as all films, photography and editorial design. My responsibilities include to manage art direction, design, copywriting and production of editorial projects such as our monthly event magazine "House Notes", our bimonthly publication "Around The Houses" and any other in-house publications. Art directing food, drink and interior as well as lifestyle photoshoots is another main responsibility of mine.
I had the opportunity to assist Michael Harrison, the Creative Director at Conde Nast UK with a hospitality consumer publication on a part-time basis.
I have been working as a senior designer for The Sunday Times and Sunday Times Magazine at the busy News building for nearly 4 years. My position at The Sunday Times required a high level of self-management, working to extremely tight deadlines on a daily basis, and working with a large variety of editors, subs, picture editors and various departments across the publication. In addition to this, I have been frequently involved in art directing photoshoots and commissioning illustrators.
BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design is a well-respected course that builds on the rich heritage of graphic design education at LCC. Teaching is innovative and encourages exploration of materials, media, and methodologies related to key subject areas, including social design, branding, information design, typographic media and communication environments.
