About me
I'm a Lisbon based Designer and illustrator specialized in graphic identity and illustration. Experienced in product design and production management, I was Chief Product Designer in two sports equipment brands.
I also work in several ongoing personal design projects in furniture design, jewelry and fashion accessories.
Projects
- NUNO TUNA ReBRAND ID STUDY #1Doing a graphic identity study for myself was one of the most difficult tasks in my life. I've been using the fish logo since the beginning of my career and it was time for an update. Somehow, the old tuna-like logo started looking too complicated and since my name described the type of fish, having it alongside the symbol would feel like a repetition.
- Festival Zen Brand StudyFestival Zen is exactly that and it's been around for over a decade. This year the organizers decided to several editions per year in different locations instead of just one per year. An official logo was created, along with an official seal to bear the location and date of the event. A color code was set to differentiate the locations.
- Swell Sports RebrandingIn the beginning of 2007, I was commissioned to revive a once well known and respected twelve year old water sports brand which was going trough a slowdown phase. A totally new logo was designed and for the next two and a half years I designed a whole new range of products to complement the old best sellers. At the same time I was taking care of all the brand's merchandising, web presence and print production. NOTE: Swell© is a Wonderfun Swell© brand since 2011
- Criacom BCCCriacom Bespoke Corporate Communication is a communication agency in Luanda, Angola. They started as an ad agency but started long ago specializing in taylor made corporate identity and brand development. Now that they are celebrating 15 years on the Angolan market they needed a total re-branding and a signature than reflected their real specialty.
- Mecthermo RebrandingMecthermo is a retail store and deals on the alternative energy solutions for home. Despite being a recent company, their logo was inappropriate. It had a non professional look and it was difficult to apply to promotional flyers, brochures, social networks and website. This re-branding allowed them finally to have their logo applied to several web and print supports. Unfortunately I was not commissioned to work on their website so...
