I manage and coordinate HR operations across 5 nurseries and am responsible for the entire employee life cycle. I have recently been responsible for delivering a full HR transformation working alongside the management team. I work closely with the Managing Director on nursery operations. This includes HR planning and overseeing employee disciplinary and grievance procedures - I regularly act as a mediator among staff and provide the link between employees and head office. I review HR related policies and procedures to ensure that they are suitable for the company and in accordance with legal requirements and ACAS guidelines. My role at MRN has enabled me to present innovative ideas which now play a fundamental role in company strategy.
I managed a local branch of AMT Coffee during my time at university. This involved organising an international team in a fast paced environment. I was responsible for recruitment, training, performance management and team building. I learnt the importance of building strong team relationships. I organised weekly team meetings to review activities and address any concerns. It was clear that good employee relations were a crucial foundation for the success of our branch. The need to prioritise and adapt quickly to new situations highlighted the importance of consistency and the need to perform under pressure.
