-Copy-edited guide editorial and checked it for factual accuracy and confidential information. -Wrote engaging, high-impact copy for print and online, summarising the strengths of each practice area team and notable work undertaken during the research period. Chapters often needed to be turned around at extremely short notice in order to keep within deadlines. -Conducted in-depth market research interviews with leading business lawyers across a variety of jurisdictions, as well as their key corporate clients. -Employed qualitative and quantitative research methods to piece together a detailed picture of the legal market in each jurisdiction and practice area. -Undertook detailed analyses of market trends in each country and continent-wide, translating these into readily comprehensible summaries. -Assisted with co-ordinating the flow of editorial content between researchers, proofers and the production team, ensuring print deadlines were met. -Contributed to training of new starters through mock interviews and editorial feedback sessions. -Developed and maintained key external relationships with law firm marking personnel.
I edited the School of English's quarterly poetry review at the University of St Andrews, taking responsibility for a marketing campaign that resulted in a 50% increase in subscriptions. I also oversaw all aspects of commissioning and selecting new work, and the full lifecycle of the production process.
Analysed, checked and processed requests for payment out of Court of Protection, Pre-Majority and Chancery accounts. I also took responsibility for answering any correspondence relating to these accounts.
