OLIVER MILLS Art Director, Designer. Unorthodox is the word. From my family background, to life experiences, to my thinking process. I seem to question almost everything in life, and I encourage others to do the same. There are a million answers to any one question, and I like that. Realising my passion for photography and design from an early age, I went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication. Inspired by change, I aim to pursue a career in which I can make a difference to people’s thoughts and perceptions, through inquisition and enlightenment. Growing up just outside of London, and raised by a family of musicians, artists and entrepreneurs, my outlook on life has been skewed. I live for innovation, always looking to make something bigger, better, more impactful and most importantly, more meaningful. They say you can’t reinvent the wheel, I disagree.
Exposure Digital | Design Intern | London, UK Design work for a London-based digital agency. Work included logo design, branding, redesigned landing page for Sea Life’s global website, image editing and manipulation, as well as design for social posting, logo designs for a London Eye social media promotion. Other clients included Triumph, Thomson, Dreamworks and Merlin Group.
Creative working as both an art director and copywriter. Pitched work for Nissan, Lidl, Uber and Ferrero. Work included TVC scripts, Social media campaigns, Print ads, Print design, Logo design, Art Direction and script work for social media. I also created some design work for Lidl’s ‘Pick of the Week’ campaign which is currently running.
Creative working on Nissan’s NURVE campaign. Going beyond traditional social campaigns by transforming data triggers into real-time, insight-driven action. Work included digital design, film-editing, sound design and animation for social posting via Nissan’s global Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr accounts. Other work included copywriting and storyboarding for Nissan’s ‘OMGTR’ campaign.
